Just in time for the winter chill, Muddy Cambs editor Sallie has discovered a purveyor of cosiness. I want the rug and the dog!
With the long nights and cold months firmly upon us, anything that helps to make our homes warm and cosy are a welcome addition. Wool & You source British, reasonably priced and naturally coloured sheepskins and are passionate about supporting British farmers, rare breeds and the wool trade.
So with the ethical box firmly ticked let’s tempt you with the lure of the sheepskin rug.
Grey is all the rage this season and the colour variations on the Hardwick Greys are never the same. They look great thrown on the end of a bed, across a sofa or lying in front of the fire. (£79, sizes vary but the average length 100cm x width 70cm).
If you’re after a luxurious feel that’s super soft then the Badger Face Welsh Mountain has an unusual dip dyed look (£79, sizes vary but the average length 100cm x width 70cm).
Big is always beautiful in my book and these extra large soft grey or coffee latte give a bonus 20cm (12cm long x 122cm wide). They are hard to come by but new stock is due in January 2018 so if you’re interested it’s worth putting your name on the waiting list to get first dibs (£95).
Their bespoke service offers double, triple, quadruple sheepskins and prices start at around £120.
Finally new to the range is the made to measure pouffe. You select the colour of the skeepskin that you want to use and they’d look great in any kids room, family den or sitting room.
We discovered Wool & You very recently; they’ve only been in existence since the beginning of the year and we were particularly taken by the story behind the brand. With a great ethos supporting the British tannery and farming industry, luxurious products offering a unique colour and reasonable prices you can see why this company is proving to be very popular. They sell online but as no two sheepskins are the same they’ll send you photos of styles in stock so you can select your fave. Put it on your list to Santa!
