Muddy says: Vintage brush machines, a fab sun terrace and artisan coffee bar – can you get more cool and quirky? This is Muddy to a tee.
At Visit Hillbrush, a brand new visitor centre in Mere, you can enjoy a meal in the locally-sourced restaurant, grab a drink at their artisan coffee bar, while learning more about the history of the company in their tactile brush making museum.
Hillbrush has been manufacturing cleaning equipment in Mere, Wilts, since 1922 and now, with their new shop and visitor centre, you can check out their quirky kitchenware, home tools and personal grooming kits. Excellent gifts for the person who has everything!
The restaurant offers a delicious locally sourced menu, an artisan coffee bar and terrace where dogs are more than welcome. Local suppliers include the wonderful Yapp Brothers Wine Merchants (Finalists in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2017), Lavender Blue Bakery and Andrew Barclay Traditional Family Butchers.
The interactive museum features vintage brush machines, an extensive timeline that covers the history of the company, and fantastic tactile displays. Visit Hillbrush is also available for private function hire.
Set in a gorgeous location on the outskirts of Mere, it is ideal for travellers and families looking for venues or activities in the area.
Fancy a great night out?
