We just love this mobile, vegetarian cookery school founded by super-talented chef Erin Baker, who was born in New Hampshire and finessed her meat-free cooking skills in California. Based in Stroud for the past 12 years, the lucky residents of Gloucestershire now get to enjoy her inventive classes, parties and pop-ups.

You’ll find her taking over the kitchens at The Royal Oak in Tetbury and Stroud’s Crown & Spectre for meat-free Mondays, taking classes at everywhere from Harts Barn Cookery School and Demuths in Bath to Woodruffs Organic Café in Stroud and Nailsworth’s Asparagasm. Sensational Salads, Asian Street Food and Deliciously Vegan are a sample of the kind of classes she holds and she also does cookery parties. We find ourselves particularly drawn to a Vintage Tea Party where you make scones, cream-filled and chocolate-dipped strawberries, savoury tarts and wraps, cakes and biscuits ­– and then scoff the lot on vintage crockery! Genius.
