Leehurst Swan School, Salisbury

Hot off the press is the news that this co-ed day school for pupils aged four to 16 is getting a new Head! Look up Stuart Morgan-Nash on social media and it says ‘two-time ACSMC Hill climb Champion, Dad and Headmaster…not necessarily in that order!’ – giving us the best indication about the man chosen to become the new leader of Leehurst Swan this September. Passionate about motorsport, classic cars and swimming, we hear, there are clearly many interests outside of school that fire his imagination. He comes to Leehurst Swan from three successful years as Headmaster of St Edward’s Prep School, Reading, and before that Deputy Head at Warminster School.

You won’t be surprised to hear that Muddy was the first to grab a quick chat with him – watch this space for our coming feature on his passionate beliefs in the benefits of an all through education – and we are pleased to announce that he aims to build on the family-centred ethos that so defines the school. “Education for me is all about the individual,” he tells us, “and by enhancing the already brilliant broad curriculum and providing more opportunity for representation in Music and Sport, I want to help every pupil find their voice. I have established STEM programmes and enterprise awards in other schools and aim to bring these initiatives to Leehurst Swan. Schools should work in partnership with parents and I will work to ensure that this relationship brings the best possible outcomes for the children in my care. The ‘through’ school nature of Leehurst Swan means that I will have the privilege and responsibility of nurturing children from starting school to leaving for further education – I can’t wait to take part in this journey with them.” Massive handclap please!

Don’t take our word for it. Read the Muddy review here.
