Tunnel House

Muddy says: A country pub with a warm welcome, hearty food and a beautiful setting.

The Tunnel House Inn is one of those rare unique independently owned Freehouse Gloucesterhire pubs set in an idylilic rural location where we can promise you truly sensational food, real ales all set in glorious surroundings on the edge of the Cotswolds.

It is close to the source of the River Thames and sits beside the Thames and Severn Canal. The cosy bar with its original wooden floors and open log fire, is warm and welcoming, serving real ales and outstanding food.

The restaurant provides a relaxed and charming space to sample our delicious menus, whilst our gardens offer the perfect place for al fresco dining in the summer.

The gem at the end of the track…

From the minute you turn into our long enchanting drive through the tree’s you will start to feel the ambiance of this delightful Inn.  Keep going along the drive way and you will approach the Tunnel House with its breath taking views and you will instantly know you have arrived.

Make your way inside, the bar has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Furnished with memorabilia from over the years, it has a unique character, guaranteed to enchant all those who visit. Roaring open log fires provide comfort and warmth in the winter months, while our large  garden is a peaceful retreat in the summer, perfect for al fresco dining.

We welcome everyone to come and join us and enjoy the experience. Our children’s play area is great for the young ones to let off a bit of steam. Or try one of the spectacular walks in the surrounding area. And don’t forget to bring the dog.

We host many wedding receptions & parties  in our separate unique function barn, why not have your informal celebrations here?  It has a very different feel from your normal hotel function room and one that our clients love and have received so many great comments about the functions we have provided.
