Drama on the high seas

Fancy you’ve got the next Raymond Carver in your midst? Or perhaps Joseph Conrad would be more appropriate, as Giffords Circus, the village green circus with the big imagination, is running a competition to write a story inspired by its upcoming summer show ‘Any Port in a Storm’.

A rich vein to mine – dastardly pirates, treasure islands, creatures of the deep, heart of darkness quests, dramas on the high seas – I reckon it might be hard to keep your watery adventure to just 500 words, but that’s the limit boys and girls.
